Roulette Strategy
Many people over the years have tried to come up with various strategies to beat the game of roulette and overcome the rather large house edge. Roulette strategy is a sought after knowledge. As a matter of fact most gambling systems were developed with roulette in mind.
The Systems
There are many interesting roulette strategy systems that give you a better understanding of how the game works and also the ideas some very intelligent people have put into practice to win at the game. These include the Martingale, Grand Martingale, anti- Martingale, Gland Martingale, D’Alembert system, the Fibonacci and the Oscar’s Grind system.
Roulette Strategy Maths
While considering good roulette strategy, one conceivable option would be to bet on the ball landing in a red space for a certain number of spins, for instance; say number 35; Mathematical calculation indicates that, if one were to spin the wheel 38 times, there is a 99% probability that the ball would land on red at least 10 times and there are 83% chances that in 38 spins, the ball will land on red at least 15 times, so out of 38 spins, there's a 50% chance that 18 will be red! So it’s quite unlikely for anyone to spin much more than 18 red spins out of 38 spins. What a great roulette strategy.
Roulette Strategy Cashing Chips
Make sure that you cash out your roulette chips before leaving the table; if you don't do this, you risk only getting paid the minimum amount for the chips, whether or not that's what you paid for. It may not be intentional as in most of the cases, the croupier has no way of remembering each specific player's denomination once they've left the table and stopped playing, so always cash out when leaving the table.
Labouchere System
A progressive betting roulette strategy is the Labouchere System that does not require the gambler to risk his stake as quickly with dramatic double ups, basically involving use of a series of numbers in a line to determine the bet amount, following a win or a loss. In most of the cases, usually the player adds the numbers at the beginning and end of the line to determine the size of the next bet. If you win, you cross out the outside numbers and continue working on the smaller line and if you lose, then he add the previous bet to the end of the line and continues to work on the longer line. Therefore it’s a much more flexible progression betting system!
Dozen Bet System
There are two versions of the dozen bet system, namely the single dozen bets and double dozen bets. In the first version, the player uses a progressively incrementing stake list starting from the casino table minimum, to the table maximum, wherein the aim is to use a single dozen bet to win before the stake list ends. Whereas the double dozen approach utilizes two dozen bets and half the stake list size of the single dozen bet version. The other popular roulette strategy include the 1st and 3rd column strategy in which one bet of 2 pieces on the 1st column and one bet of 2 pieces on the 3rd column covers most of the red numbers on the table, providing insurance for occurrence of black.
